The Home Health Aide / CNA provides non-medical, in-home support and home management services to clients. He or she provides assistance with personal care, nutrition, exercises, ambulation, positioning, and transfers as directed and according to an established plan of care. Qualified CNA's may also provide some delegated nursing services as allowed by state regulations.
The ideal candidate for this position has a high school diploma or GED at a minimum, additional training or education to achieve certification, is certified as a Nurse's Aide, and has some previous experience. In addition, he or she has a genuine desire to work with the elderly or disabled, reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and current automobile insurance. Fluent English speaking and writing skills, empathy and the ability to listen, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
