73 an hour 9 days ago 9 days ago 9 days ago Job Summary Under close supervision of the Deputy Human Resources Officer, the HR Clerk shall perform a variety of tasks to support the Human Resources Department, assist with the recruitment process and perform administrative operations.
A general knowledge of human resources and computer data systems, outstanding customer service skills to professionally interact with employees and the public, and adequate office procedures are necessary to successfully perform the functions of this position.
Education and Experience Requirements High School Diploma or GED equivalent and two (2) years of office experience.
A college degree in a related field is preferred.
Two (2) years of accounting or billing experience.
Valid State of New Mexico Driver's license or able to obtain within six (6) months of employment.
Environmental Factors and Conditions/Physical Requirements Work is performed in an office environment; may be subject to repetitive motion such as typing, data entry and vision to monitor; may be subject to extended periods of intense concentration in the review of documents and reports.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Work schedule for this position may include working on religious holidays.
Utilize, process, and navigate the County's electronic ERP system as necessary and appropriate based on the needs and requirements of this position.
Essential Job Functions (partial list) Manage HR front desk communications by answering, screening, and directing calls; answer and assist the public by addressing questions about the application process, job requirements, questions about the County, and provide additional information as requested.
Perform mail runs to disperse and collect inter-office and external mail.
Review and schedule appointments on HR Outlook calendars to include HR testing; keep front lobby presentable.
Responsible for monitoring office supplies to include paper and new hire orientation supplies and notify lead staff when supplies are low.
Perform filing into personnel and benefit files; if unsure, confirm with HRIS and/or Benefits Specialist on document placement; perform file audits when directed; make copies of employee personnel files as requested and confirmed by Chief Human Resources Officer or designee; know the file room layout and guide others to file locations.
Assist in sending job postings to required agencies and other appropriate media.
Assist in setting up applicants with position testing and provide correct position background forms and ensure review before applicant leaves.
Assist with upkeep of testing area cleanliness and ensure a clean and ready supply of paper and working pens.
Work with the HR Support Coordinator assist with scheduling interviews and pre-employment requirements.
Responsible for contacting selected candidates prior to new hire orientation for last day reminder.
Perform upkeep of I-9 forms and background checks; monitor files for updates and changes, track expiration dates; notify HR team of any updates needed.
Assist HR Support Coordinator with Driver Monitoring Program needs when necessary.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
