Aztec, NM Aztec, NM Full-time Full-time $12 - $14 an hour $12 - $14 an hour 22 hours ago 22 hours ago 22 hours ago The shipping and receiving clerk is responsible for overseeing the packing and shipping of orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, and maintaining clean and organized shipping facilities.
They will also coordinate with team members, carriers, and customers to resolve any shipping issues and provide updates.
The coordinator will develop and implement shipping policies and procedures, monitor shipping costs, and maintain shipping equipment and supplies.
Key
Responsibilities:
Provide final inspection of products for defects and accuracy Perform basic production processes including but not limited to:
Basic sewing Labeling product Cleaning product Preparing product for shipment and/or inventory storage Oversee the packing and shipping of orders, including coordinating with team members to ensure that orders are prepared and shipped accurately and on time Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and completeness Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation, including tracking numbers and delivery confirmation Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and resolve any shipping issues Communicate with customers to provide shipping updates and resolve any issues Handling returns and exchanges, including coordinating the return of products to inventory Develop and implement shipping policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy Monitor and analyze shipping costs to identify opportunities for cost savings Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of shipping equipment and supplies Post outbound deliveries using designated software Handle packaging procedures to ensure the safety of shipments Prepare and affix labels to shipments Maintain an organized storage area for incoming shipments Ensure the shipping/receiving area is cleaned and well-maintained at all times Assist with year-end and general inventory procedures
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in shipping and receiving preferred Proficiency with shipping software and systems Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to lift heavy objects, stand and/or crouch for long periods of time Good communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask and work effectively under tight deadlines Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a plus We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applicants from all backgrounds to apply.
